The Community Health Advocates Association of Wakiso District (CHAAWD) on the other hand is a youth-led, community-based organisation, established under the directorate of community-based services, Wakiso District local government with a focus to advance the health and human rights of people in Wakiso community, including their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including by working under the thematic areas; Effective Health system by advocating for equitable access to healthcare, Human rights by creating awareness and building local understanding of the right to Health, Youth Empowerment by creating an environment for young people to lead on SRHR advocacy and partnering with likeminded organisations to provide training and support to the youth and all people in the community.
