What We Do

Our projects

Our organization is currently implementing the Joint Advocacy for SRHR Program.

With support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – SIDA, the Center for Health, Human Rights and Development (CEHURD) with its partners are implementing a programme titled:The Joint Advocacy for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Uganda (JAS Programme) which aims at building a progressive Sexual Reproductive Health Rights advocacy movement in Uganda.

CHAAWD is a partner in the program implementing in Wakiso District.

WE ADVOCATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

In a pursuit to realize social justice in Health, we document sexual violence cases and link victims to probono-services to acquire justice.

WE PROMOTE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO HEALTH

Health Facility visits: We extend health care, including SRHR services and information to people in hard to reach areas through outreach programs

WE BUILD LOCAL AWARENESS ON SRHR

Through a series of community sensitization events, we are able to raise awareness on issues regarding health and human rights of community members.

WE DOCUMENT SGBV CASES

In partnership with the Center for Health, Human Rights and Development, we document SGBV cases and follow them up to ensure justice for victims and survivors.
