About Us
We Advocate for Equitable Access to Health Care
Members of CHAAWD are known as Community Health Advocates, stemming from their role as Health rights champions in the community.
Through dialogue with stakeholders to foster social accountability, Community Health Advocates are able to follow up on commitments made by duty bearers and other stakeholders for the Betterment of healthcare in Wakiso District including Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights services and Information.
We build local awareness on the right to health and human rights to empower community Members with information such that they can lead informed life choices.

We organize inclusive events for Community members to foster learning and dialogue on SRHR.
OCTOBER, 2023
This session aimed at educating young individuals and adolescents on the barriers of SGBV and the referal pathways for Victims.
NOVEMBER, 2023
These activities were aimed at creating awareness on the preventative measures of teenage pregnancy in these communities.
December, 2023
The aim of this activity was to create awareness to people of Wakiso that HIV/AIDs is still in existance and on the prevention and treatment.
